Could you see Zoe Saldana with a pixie hair cut? Well, the "Avatar" star is considering the popular chop as she prepares herself to star in the upcoming remake of the classic horror film "Rosemary's Baby."

According to E! News, the 35-year-old doesn't even plan on watching the original movie before taking on the famous role.

She explained, "They did it so well," adding, "It's not about imitating what they did. I think it's about focusing more on the book and trying to get the best Rosemary that I can think of."

Zoe Saldana admitted that she is thinking about getting a pixie cut for the role. She said, "It's been tempting."

The original film was directed by Roman Polanski and starred Mia Farrow, whose pixie for the film became one of the most famous haircuts in movie history.

The celebrity news site reported that Paramount even held a press event for the media to watch and photograph Vidal Sasson styling the look.

However, later on Farrow claimed that it was a publicity stunt because in reality she actually cut her hair herself.

The new "Rosemary's Baby" will debut on NBC as a four hour long miniseries directed by Agienszka Holland. Casting for the film is still ongoing as the project still needs Rosemary's husband and the Devil.

This will be the first movie that Zoe Saldana and her sisters are producing since opening their production company.

But this will not be Saldana's first time playing the mom role. In fact the newly married actress took on the parental role in "Infinitely Polar."

She plays a young woman in business school in 1978 struggling to raise her kids alongside her husband (Mark Ruffalo) who suffers from a mental illness Bear.

Saldana said, "I completely fell in love [with the script], and also because it hit home for personal reasons."

She continued, "There's a dad and little girls and it was really beautiful. "It was the kind of script that you couldn't put down once you opened it," adding, "The moment that happens you want to be a part of it."
