So award season has been kicked up into high hear! From the People's Choice Awards, Golden Globes, and now the SAG Awards this coming weekend, we're on red carpet overload here! What's great about this time of year is all the hair and makeup inspiration celebs are serving up. Celebrity hair stylist, Kylee Heath, knows all too well about the behind the scenes madness that ensues before a make or break 'do makes it debut. In anticipation of what we will be seeing this award season, Kylee offered up a few of her own trend predictions. Check 'em out below and be sure to follow the expert at @KyleeRaeHeath, #RedCarpetGlam.

Sleek Meets Soft. "This season we will be seeing a lot of contrast in texture," Kylee explained. "Mixed patterns and change in fabric is very in. It is important that the hair reflects this trend without being overwhelming. Think hard side part with a messy undone texture or sleek middle part into a messy pony or bun."

Rip the Red Carpet: "Pantene's Damage Detox Daily Revitalizing Shampoo ($5), Rebuilding Conditioner ($5), and Weekly Rehab Crème ($7) are all great hair care options for nailing the 'sleek meets soft look,'" Heath recommended. The antioxidant-rich formula cleanses and removes impurities so your hair can stay strong against damage and styling.

Accidental Bend. "It's not a curl and it's not really a wave, it's a tousled bend and a great way to give a "cool" vibe to any look," detailed the expert. "This look can edge up a gown or add a whimsical twist to a dress with a lot of structure."

Rip the Red Carpet: Heath says Vidal Sassoon's Repair Heat & Protect Shine Spray ($6) is your go-to for this style. "You'll want to spray this in dry hair before flat ironing, or use in wet hair before blow drying to ensure your tresses are protected from damage."

Breathtakingly Bangin'. Kylee confirms for us all that bangs are in. "Whether they are short and choppy or short and swooped, with all the texture in the fabrics, bangs can be a great soft or edgy addition to the face and look," she explained.

Rip the Red Carpet: Herbal Essence's NAKED Volume Dry Shampoo ($3) is a great option to pump up hair in a hurry. "When you're in need of a little extra volume, this formula absorbs oil and rejuvenates dirty hair for a clean feeling, all while staying water-free and thus hassle free!"
