Catherine Duchess of Cambridge's birthday is just a day away and it looks like Prince George's mom won't be spending a lot of time with her husband Prince William on her special day. Instead the royal will be in the lovely company of her mother Carole Middleton.

According to E! News, on Wednesday Carole was spotted out in London picking up some last-minute goodies for her daughter's big day.

A source told the network, "Carole came into London from Bucklebury for a shopping spree on the Kings Road...spent about an hour and a half in Peter Jones where she was browsing and purchasing items from the Lancôme counter."

Coincidentally Prince George's grandmother decided to go on a spending spree in some of her daughter's favorite shopping areas.

As Kate Middleton, 31, will likely spend her birthday with her mother Prince William is going to be busy at school for most of Thursday and won't have much time to spend with his wife.

The 31-year-old Duke of Cambridge too used the arrived by train on Tuesday when attending his first day of his10-week program at the University of Cambridge.

The royal of Wales hopped on the train on January 7th and made his way over to the University of Cambridge.

The future King kept his look simple and wore a navy suit and mahogany tie.
