Taylor Kitsch Girlfriend 2013: 'Friday Night Lights' Actor Admits He 'Went Through a Terrible Break Up' and Turned to Hockey, 'Lone Survivor' Star Talks Marriage Plans Following Split


Taylor Kitsch who particularly stays under the radar recently opened up about his split from his girlfriend but many were unaware that he was dating anyone to begin with.

According to E! News, the 32-year-old spoke with Man of the World magazine. Not only did he reveal that the was dating someone but he also announced he was single confirming their break up.

During the time of the interview the "Lone Survivor" star was staying at his favorite beachside hotel in Santa Monica, California for a week of business meetings.

At night the actor would drive to the Valley to play hockey. He spoke about favorite sport, "Us Canadians, we find that sh-t."

He added, "Hockey's like therapy for me. I went through a terrible breakup a while ago and it was the one thing that allowed me to actually not think about it for an hour-and-a-half."

Although he wouldn't spill too much detail on his love life Taylor Kitsch told the sixth issue of the publication, "I'm not getting married next year, I'll tell you that much."

The actor who started out as a poorly paid Abercrombie and Fitch model revealed to Glamour that during that particular job he was actually homeless.

He explained, "That was kind of a weekend thing I did to stay afloat - 10, 20 bucks here or there. I was actually homeless at the time," adding, "I was homeless in New York for a while, and then I went to L.A., where I lived in my car."

Taylor Kitsch soon became a household name and was recognized for his long hair. He revealed, "I started growing it when I was 20, playing junior hockey."

He went on to say, "The first time I cut it was for 'Battleship.' I'd had it long for 11 years. Now it's kind of got a life of its own."

The sixth issue of Man of the World hits newsstands on Monday, Dec. 30.
