It looks like Nicky Whelan is very much in love with boyfriend Chad Michael Murray following the end of his seven-year engagement to Kenzie Dalton.

The two appeared at the screening of "Chosen" in Los Angeles on Tuesday, December 3rd and gushed about their new romance.

Whelan, 32, told Us Weekly, "It's very lovely waking up at five a.m. together and both going to work!"

She added, "It's really nice. We worked together on [upcoming action film] 'Left Behind' and then by coincidence went on to 'Chosen.' I must say, it's a really lovely experience to get to go from one to the next.

"It never happens that way. If we could do it all the time we would because it's lovely. It's fun! We definitely support each other"

The actress went on to say, "We are both the same age in the same industry, and there's a really great support system we have for each together and an understanding."

She gushed, "We are very lucky and very grateful! We have had such an incredible journey together so far! I feel like he's my twin, it's really lovely!"

At the end of October Chad Michael Murray, 32, took to his Twitter account to announce that he was dating Nicky Whelan.

A month before that the "One Tree Hill" star's rep confirmed that the actor split from girlfriend Dalton earlier in the year.

But as far as is new lady goes, the star is completely smitten. He said of Whelan, "She is nothing but positive energy. I love her energy."

He added, "She is a smart woman. When you are on a set and around people with positive energy who want to do nothing but contribute and make it better, it makes everyone around you better so it makes everyone better."

The couple just spent the Thanksgiving holiday with Murray's family in Buffalo, New York, and plan to spend Christmas with the actress' brood in Australia.

However, the actor isn't nervous seeing as he already met his girlfriend's family already and has gotten their stamp of approval.

The actress said, "Who wouldn't approve?"

She added, "He is a wonderful man!"
