Elizabeth Olsen recently talked about casting secrets surrounding the highly anticipated upcoming "Avengers: Age of Ultron" movie. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's younger sister also dished on playig Scarlet Witch onscreen.
In an interview with the Huffington Post, the 24-year-old rising star is beyond excited to step into the covetable role alongside some other great actors and actresses.
"It's a cool ensemble," shared Olsen. "When there's a great ensemble already in place, you're just like, That sounds awesome --because I want to work with all of those people. That's amazing. And it's all of these people that I respect. Clearly I did this for a reason and it turned out well for a reason."
Many fans were speculation about what actress would land the part of the Scarlet Witch. News broke in late August that Olsen had won the role, thanks to Samuel L. Jackson announcing Olsen's name.
"Yeah, it was so uncomfortable," recalled Olsen in response to having to wait and deny the casting rumor until Jackson's reveal. "And I remember being like, I still can't talk about it, right? I thought Marvel had a plan to break it in a certain way -- because you know they like to do their little surprises.
Olsen continued, "So I was like, "Well, OK, I was also rumored about '50 Shades of Grey,' I can use that, right?" -- like try to use all the rumors as one, or something. And it's so uncomfortable because it's like, "Yeah, I'm doing it! And it's gonna be amazing!"
The young talent added that since the character has never been created in human form yet or had a television show, she can own the part.
"And with Scarlet Witch, I'm like she's complicated, that one!," added Olsen about being Scarlet Witch. "You know? Like, She might be the most damaged of them all! Which is so cool.
Marvels "Avengers" sequel hits theaters in 2015.
