The Christmas holiday is quickly approaching and it looks like Kmart is desperate to get attention with its latest controversial commercial for Joe Boxers.
One of the many stores that is actually popular for its Black Friday sale has managed to turn customers off to the many items they have to offer.
Kmart recently aired a commercial promoting the holiday collection for the men's boxer with the hashtag #ShowYourJoe.
According to the Huffington Post, the ad depicts a group of men in holiday themed boxer shorts shaking their butts along with their packages to the Christmas carol "Jingle Bells."
The 55-second ad aired Monday on national television featuring a wide angle shot of six men, who initially appeared to be dressed in tuxedos while standing behind a roll away table.
The commercial started off with the gentlemen ringing bells however, once they set them down, the table was rolled away to reveal the six of them in their boxers.
The men then squatted down to begin their rendition of "Jingle Bells." What is set to be a laughable experience is no longer a joke as the men who only have the intention of shaking their butts swing their testicles in the process.
Following its debut the store's Facebook page received an uproar of criticism with customers demanding that the "disgusting" and "distasteful commercial be taken down from the Kmart Facebook page.
"You can forget me stepping into any of your stores. Pull that ad off the air," wrote one Facebook user. While another suggested that the company find "someone to do better commercial writing."
However, not everyone was offended by the ad. One mother wrote, "My daughter and I love the Joe Boxer commercial! Lighten up, people."
