Shay Mitchell took to Instagram to debut her new haircut recently. The "Pretty Little Liars" star ditched her signature long locks for a sassy new style in 2013.

According to E! Online, the 26-year-old actress is the latest celebrity to celebrate snipping season by chopping off her coif.

Mitchell let go of several inches off her dark brunette mane. Given that the ABC Family star always had long hair way past her shoulders, the cut was major and a very surprising change.

The star posed a selfie to her Instagram, showing herself and her stylist with a pair of scissors. She also showed off the new style at Revolve clothing party on Friday, reported Hollywood Life.

To achieve the new look, the starlet turned to Daven Mayeda to transform her tresses. The celebrity stylist not only cut, but added beautiful, volumous curls to Mitchell's mane.

A day after cutting her hair, the starlet's waves appeared to still be intact as the actress shared the obligatory "Short hair don't care..." post, which featured a collage that showed off four different views of the cut, reported E!

The starlet joins several other stars including Jennifer Aniston, Pamela Anderson, Kristen Chenoweth and Jennifer Lawrence, who have taken the plunge for shorter strands and gotten into the fall trend.
