, : Lady Gaga
According to US Weekly, the 27-year-old controversial performer's next act means she isn't "down-to-earth."
In fact, Gaga is out of this world. The "Applause" songstress will become the first artist to sing a tune in outer space. She will blast off on the Virgin Galactic ship during the Zero G Colony high-tech musical festival, featuring world-class entertainment and cutting-edge technology, in New Mexico.
"She has to do a month of vocal training because of the atmosphere," said a source, who added that Gaga's glam squad is joining her for the ride.
The shocking, unpredictable star is planning to perform at dawn on the third day of the concert in space. The date is approximately six months after the first Virgin Galactic commercial flight, reported US.
"[The historic event] will be like nothing the world has seen before," said another source.
And Gaga is covered if she runs into trouble up there, hinted a source, according to the New York Daily News.
"Gaga has taken out a ridiculous life insurance policy!," said the source.
The event will "like nothing the world has seen before," reported the NY newspaper. Gaga joins Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Lance Bass, who have also signed up to take a ride in the Virgin Galactic when it is up and running.
