The first Halloween "American Horror Story: Coven" season 3 episode featured the battle between the Salem vs. Voodoo witches heating up. But, the big question was whether the council would make their big debut, which they did.
According to E! Online, the FX show celebrated the spooky holiday a day early with a truly fitting outing that left us creeped out and dying for more during the "Fearful Pranks Ensue" show.
Since Halloween has become a two-episode tradition for the series, the episode didn't disappoint with the Salem witches and the voodoo witches having declared war. The truce between the two sides is over. After the Minotaur almost killed Queenie, Fiona sent a very scary message to the Angela Bassett-played Marie: her lover's head in a box. And now, Marie is out for revenge, raising the dead from their graves to attack Miss Robichaux's Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies.
Fans also learned just how creepy Spalding is. He was already busy hugging scarecrows and having tea parties with dolls, and the new episode revealed that he was keeping the Emma Roberts-played Madison's body in his room and added her to his doll collection. The character has a troubling, weird backstory.
In a flashback to 1971, Spalding actually cut off his own tongue to protect Fiona as Myrtle, but a spell prevented him from lying. With the dark magic, Spalding would have to reveal that Fiona killed the former Supreme.
"These are my last words, Ms. Fiona: I have always loved you," said Spalding before he slicked off his own tongue in the episode.
And for a creepy surprise, a new villain made an appearance and is someone very close to one of our main witches, reported E!
There were also more scary shocks including Cordelia being attacked and FrankenKyle, played by Evan Peters, stalking the town.
