Is Nina Dobrev dating Ian Somerhalder again? "The Vampire Diaries" season 5 costars broke fans heart when news leaked that they decided to break up but new reports and the actress' Twitter account are romantically linking them together once again.

The actress posted the quote "Sex . Breakfast of champions RUSH" on her Twitter account which she explained that she was referring to the film "Rush" however, new reports are alleging that the starlet is still having sex with her ex-boyfriend, following her recent split from Derek Hough.

According to the International Business Times, the former off-screen couple is more than friendly behind closed doors with "The Vampire Diaries" co-stars reportedly being "friends with benefits" after ending their three-year relationship earlier this year.

An insider told Star magazine, that Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder's sexual relationship was the cause behind her break up with Derek Hough.

The source said, "Obviously her 'The Vampire Diaries' co-star still has a stranglehold on Nina," adding, "Once Derek really realized just how hooked on her ex she still is, he pulled the plug."

The 24-year-old actress even asked her ex-boyfriend's permission to go on her first date with Hough, 28.

The magazine reported that Derek Hough decided to call off his relationship with Dobrev due to their long distance apart but also because she had been spending "a lot of time" with Somerhalder prior to the break up.

"It's clear they've stayed close during the split."
