You asked for it and now you got it! It is official, the HBO hit series "Entourage" will now become a movie that will hit theaters.

The show's creator and director, Doug Ellin confirmed the news on Monday taking to his Twitter account to make the announcement.

Ellin posted a photo of the "Entourage" cast with the caption, "It's a go. love you all."

Cast member Jerry Ferrara who played the character Turtle on the series wrote, "I am proud to announce the #Entourage movie is officially a GO! Have to thank @wbpictures and @HBO for all the support to make this happen!"

He later tweeted, "On behalf of the 4 guys I wanna also thank the #entourage fans for the patience. The BOYS are BACK. ' it always works out.'"

Fans have been waiting years for a glimmer of hope that they can see their favorite characters reunite and now it will finally happen.

According to E! News, in September, the production of the film was up in the air after receiving the greenlight for the project from Warner Bros.

Back in January there was a struggle to get the film off the ground seeing as certain cast members had not signed on to the project with rumors that they were holding out for more money.

At the time, Perry Reeves, who played Ari's wife, was optimistic about the film. She said, "We are slowly but surely getting close to filming it."

She added, "They keep pushing the date, but we will make it. We are all coming back."

Reeves went on to say, "We are being so cautious on what we say because we have not started shooting yet. I think people are really excited to see it and it's still in the consciousness of people's minds. I always say don't let it go too long."
