In the latest Kelly Clarkson 2013 news, the singer and her new husband, Brandon Blackstock didn't invite family to their recent wedding. Reportedly, the "American Idol" alum's mom even spoke out about missing her daughter's nupitals.

According to Hollywood Life, the "Stronger" performer, 31, eloped with Blackstock on Sunday.

Clarkson was originally planning a big ceremony with family and friends. But she decided last minute to secretly wed her longtime boyfriend at Blackberry Farm, a luxury resort in the Smoky Mountains in Walland, Tenn.

The blonde star had gotten engaged in December 2012, and got a marriage license on Oct. 15. She had been so busy with touring and promoting her upcoming Oct. 29 album, "Wrapped in Red" that the couple decided to skip a huge ceremony.

Instead, Clarkson's mother, Jeanne Taylor said career stress contributed to her daughter's small wedding decision.

"She said they were just so overwhelmed with the tour and they just decided to elope," Taylor told Celebuzz. "But she didn't want to hurt our feelings. She has had a lot on her plate and I've seen her schedule for the next month and Christmas," Jeanne said.

Surprisingly, Taylor had no hard feelings about her daughter sneaking off to tie the knot.

"[Kelly] was so afraid we might be upset," Taylor continued. "But we were fine with it. I had known that she was under a lot of stress. And we just wanted her to be happy and not stressed out. I think the biggest thing for us to do was to allow her to do what she wanted to do."
