Katie Holmes is currently making headlines with rumors surfacing that she is dating her ex-husband, Tom Cruise's old friend, Jamie Foxx following their divorce. However, the actress is now receiving attention for a completely different reason.
Apparently celebrity chef Mario Batali is calling on Suri Cruise's mom to be his next sous chef seeing as the cook is confident that Holmes knows her way around the kitchen.
"The Chew" co-host told Us Weekly that he would love for Katie Holmes to be his right hand in the kitchen.
"I would love to work and get in the kitchen more with Katie," Batali, 53, told the magazine while at a New York City Food Bank event in September.
The comment came after a couple of hours after the NYC cook met Holmes, 34, for the first time at another food event in the big city.
He revealed, "We're going to do something together, but I'm not sure what," adding, "She's unbelievably smart, really funny and we had a really nice time -- I think we'll cook together."
However, whenever the two decide to step into the kitchen the "Mania Days" actress will have some stiff competition seeing as Batali has worked with talented celebrities before her.
The chef admitted, "I would say amongst my favorite celebrities that have cooked for me, [Bush frontman and Gwen Stefani's husband] Gavin Rossdale is another great one."
He told Yahoo's omg!, that "Jimmy Kimmel is [also another] great one."
However, he did say there is one celebrity that can use some work improving in the kitchen. Mario Batali said, "Jimmy Fallon. Not such a great cook, but a great guy and a great host."
The actress previously told E! News about her cooking skills back in September. Although she refused to talk about whether or not she had a new boyfriend Katie Holmes revealed that she makes mean macaroni and cheese.
During the Hellmann's 100th year and collaboration with Feeding America celebration Tom Cruise's ex-wife told the celebrity news site that she knows how to cook a meal.
Holmes said, "I do a mac and cheese." The "Mania Days" actress added, "It sounds like mine isn't the best, but there's always room to grow, improve and I got some tips on what I could put in mine which always makes me happy."
That means she will definitely enjoy her time in the kitchen with celebrity chef Mario Batali.
