It looks like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is in search of a new friend and it seems as if she wants Rihanna to take the title.

In the past Jason Statham's girlfriend has gushed over wanting to meet the "Stay" singer despite the fact she was stood up by the star before.

Huntington-Whiteley explained that she would still love to meet Rihanna and become part of her circle of friends, according to Entertainment Wise.

During an interview with Radio 1's Nick Grimshaw, the hot Victoria's Secret angel admitted that she came close to meeting Rihanna once after attending one of her concerts but was left waiting for three hours for the singer in the backstage area and she never showed up.

She explained, "If I met Rihanna I would be [starstruck]. I recently went to see her perform in LA and I went backstage and everyone was standing back there having a drink with her team, they said, 'She's gonna come now, she's gonna come out any minute now.'"

She continued her story, "I was standing there going, 'Oh my god, I'm going to meet Rihanna. I'm going to meet Rihanna!' And I stood there and twenty minutes went by and the more time went by the more nervous I got. Then after about three hours of waiting I was like, 'I've had enough!'"

Surprisingly the disappointment did little to discourage the Marks and Spencer collaborative designer from meeting the star. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley said that she still wants to meet Rihanna and be her friend.

As she continues to work on her way into the "Pour it Up" singer's inner circle she said, "I'm really nervous to meet her now, I'm gonna get star-struck and say something I'll regret.

"She's so cool... I've been campaigning [to be her friend] for a long time."
