Shailene Woodley is known for her role as Amy Juergens on "The Secret Life of the American Teenager," but the actress was not a fan of the show that brought her fame.
Often compared to the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, the 21-year-old made the bad decision of bashing one of her former roles.
In an interview with Flaunt magazine, the "Divergent" star shared her opinion about the ABC Family series in which she played the lead role of teen mom Amy Juergens. According to the International Business Times, Woodley said the final seasons of the show conflicted with her own morals.
She told the magazine, "I didn't like it because if it started to change, I had no control over it. The things that we were preaching on that show weren't really aligned with my own integrity."
She added, "It was a bit hard to show up to work every day knowing that we were going to project all of these themes to thousands -- millions -- of young adults across the country when in fact they weren't what I would like to be sending out."
Although she wanted to leave the show, she couldn't. She revealed, "It's like anything in life, whether you're an actor or you work in an insurance office, if you want to be able to leave your job, it's nice to be able to leave your job. But when you're in a contract, unfortunately, you can't do that."
Although she may be done with the teenage drama, Woodley seems to be quite comfortable with some adult dating.
"The Spectacular Now" star was spotted getting cozy with her co-star Miles Teller at the MTV VMAs Awards in August.
According to an eye witness at the Brooklyn, New York event the pair were seen acting like much more than just friends.
The source said, "We watched as the two rising stars took turns wrapping their arms around each other's shoulders and cracking each other up."
The insider went on to say, "While all that might be nothing, it was definitely cute."
Although Woodley and Teller are rumored to still be getting hot and heavy she was photographed in the arms of the "The Fault in Our Stars" cast member Ansel Elgort, however it was all in fun.
