It looks like Amber Heard is ditching boyfriend Johnny Depp at a time where he needs her the most. The couple's romance is rumored to be on the rocks and the actor has fallen into depression following his box office bomb of "The Lone Ranger."

Now with news that his fifth installment to Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise has been pushed back, the actor's girlfriend has left him to film her latest movie, "London Fields."

In Mathew Cullen's directorial debut, Heard will star alongside Billy Bob Thornton, Jim Sturgess and Theo in the film adaptation based on Martin Amis' black comedy novel of the same name, according to Deadline.

However, her boyfriend isn't so lucky, as his producer, Jerry Bruckheimer revealed his decision to delay "Pirates of Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales."

The actor, who is set to return as Captain Jack Sparrow for the film, will have to wait a bit longer because the movie has been held off because of script issues.

Bruckheimer told The Hollywood Reporter that he is hopeful that the film can be ready for summer 2016. He said, "We have an outline everyone loves but the script is not done."

Apparently, Disney has said that the film could ring up $250 million-plus for the production price tag.

When asked whether the potential cost of the next "Pirates of the Caribbean" film played a role in the delay, Bruckheimer said, "It's all a factor. We want a script that everyone's signed off on and a budget that everyone's signed off on."

He told THR that coming up with a great script is "always hard" and after this summer, "everybody's more cautious," considering several costly movies bombed this summer.

As Disney struggles to keep the film underway, Depp is struggling to keep his relationship. A source reported that his "smothering behavior" is driving his 27-year-old girlfriend crazy.

The insider revealed that the successful 50-year-old actor is having a hard time dealing with failure. The source said, "He's in a terrible state over the whole thing."

"He's been relying on Amber to maintain his fragile ego, but she isn't sure how much more she can take. She's been locked away in his apartment, looking after his kids, but his smothering behavior is driving her crazy."

The couple's relationship is already on the rocks after the bisexual actress accused her boyfriend of being boring and he told her she was lucky to be dating him. And now with Heard in London for a couple of months the distance may lead to a break up.
