After giving birth to royal baby Prince George last month, Kate Middleton attended her first post-baby event with Prince William.
The Duchess of Cambridge was all smiles as she arrived at the Ring O'Fire Ultra Marathon in Anglesey, Wales on Friday, shortly after 12:30 p.m. local time. There she and Prince William mingled with the crowd before the event started, according to Us Weekly.
Onlookers at the event said Kate Middleton and Prince William "both looked genuinely happy to be there."
Eyewitnesses told the magazine, "There was lots of laughter from the new parents as they did their walkabout. Many locals thanked them for being there."
The Duke of Cambridge was at the event to announce the start of the annual 135-mile coastal race, which takes place over a three day period around Anglesey.
However, Middleton was not scheduled to attend the event with her husband but sources told Us Weekly that she decided this morning that she wanted to "pop along" to show her gratitude for all the support the couple has received since the birth of their son.
The Duchess dressed casually and wore a pair of black skinny jeans, and recycled her polka-dot Zara top, and green Ralph Lauren blazer.
Prince George's mom looked gorgeous as she flaunted her slender frame making her way through the crowd at Holyhead Breakwater Country Park.
With such progress since giving birth to her son a family source insisted the Duchess has "hardly done anything to lose the weight."
"A few weeks after George was born, you could hardly tell she had just given birth," the source revealed about the 31-year-old royal.
The insider continued, "Kate's still breastfeeding, and the small weight she gained while pregnant has just melted off. She's not dieting."
When asked about Prince George Middleton said, "He's very well. He's sleeping at the moment."
The duchess accepted a bouquet of flowers and a handmade butterfly-shaped decoration from a group of local children while mentioning that the royal baby "loves bright colors."
