"The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" star Kevin Zegers has dished a lot on his personal life in 2013. The actor married to wife Jaime Feld recently posed shirtless in Flaunt Magazine, opening up about his past addiction to alcohol and his new movie.

According to Flaunt, Zegers, 28, has come a long way from his early days acting in such films as "Air Bud" and "It's a  Boy Girl Thing," and shows like "Goosebumps" and "The X-Files."

Moving out to Hollywood at age 17, he was shocked to be in new place and adjust to the fast-paced celebrity lifestyle.

"In retrospect, it was a terrible idea," he said about moving to Los Angeles. "Now, I meet a 17-year-old and I can appreciate how young that is to be doing anything." \

Just like most young people who come to Tinseltown, he indulged in the liquor-filled parties. He remembers "going out and doing stupid stuff," which ultimately led to an addiction to alcohol.

"Once I cleared my head I was like, 'Where is everything? Where are my suits and my watches?' People just come to your house, party and leave all their s***."

Sober for two years now, Zegers has turned his attention to a new marriage to talent agent wife, Feld. And he is happy both in love and taking on juicier movie roles.

The Canadian actor stars as shadowhunter Alec Lightwood in the new "Mortal Instruments" movie and will next play a sociopath in "The Curse of Downers Grove." With such big roles, the actor is comfortable to show his "darker self."

In fact, he is so comfortable that he poses shirtless in a bunch of sexy photos for Flaunt. For more photos of the onscreen shadowhunter, click HERE.
