Following Kristen Stewart's and Robert Pattinson's break-up, it seems that Pattinson still cherishes the good times he shared with his ex-girlfriend and the things that she taught him throughout their relationship.

A source revealed that Pattinson was madly in love with Stewart because she made him feel special and taught the actor to "believe in himself" and "take risks." For that he holds "no regrets" when it comes to their almost 5-year relationship.

A friend of Pattinson's spoke with Hollywood Life and said that the actor admired the fact that his ex-girlfriend was fearless.

The insider said, "The thing that Rob loved and admired so much about Kristen is her ability to be absolutely herself and not care what others think. She is fearless, and this is what has always captivated Rob.

"She always encouraged him to be fearless. To follow his own path. To believe in himself. To take risks. To do something every day that scared him."

Even though the "On the Road" star cheated on her boyfriend with married "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders, the actor blames himself for the split. A source revealed, "Rob blamed himself for the demise of their relationship."

The source went on to say, "But what he has learned is priceless and he is grateful for this. He has no regrets. And yes he has forgiven Kristen, but more importantly he has forgiven himself."

Even though the couple is through, the actor recently stopped by his ex-girlfriend's house. A source revealed that "Rob initially reached out to Kristen because he wanted to stop by and pick up the rest of his stuff, but apparently he also wanted to see her."

The friend went on to say, "He stopped by on the weekend and they both spent some time together, catching up. Kristen was really happy to see him, but I think in the end they were both sad because they still have feelings for each other."

"It's not as simple as just getting back together. Seeing each other brought up a lot stuff for both of them. For now, work - not rebuilding a relationship - comes first. It's sad."

Clearly Pattinson still cares for Stewart, according to an insider, "He's told his friends that during a different time and different circumstances, they could make it work."
