Lady Gaga promoted her "ARTPOP" album in V Magazine's September issue. The "Applause" singer and Taylor Kinney girlfriend went topless and debuted short blond hair on a newly released cover.
According to US Weekly, the controversial singer, 27, went very minimalistic in her new shots and four covers shot by Inez and Vinoodh for the magazine.
In one look, she sported New Wave Style short blonde hair, 80s inspired makeup and a futurist purple high gloss top.
She also donned a red sequined blazer and a pair of open jeans for one photo. And in another one, she covered herself in dirt while wearing a Calvin Klein tank top.
But in a more racy shot, the performer only donned black thong underwear in a pair of topless looks. Though she was nearly naked, her concave stomach and noticably bony back were eye catching and shocking.
The Grammy winner had shed an enormous amount of weight after numerous critics shunned her for gaining last year, reported US.
But Gaga is not paying attention to the "haters," but focusing on her expression as an artist, she told V.
"I thought about Pop Art and how the dominant subject matter was always the celebrity or the pop-culture icon on the canvas," she said to the magazine. "And then I thought to myself, But what I have tired endlessly to become through my work is a celebration of my differences through art, with myself as the canvas, as opposed to me as the subject matter, being put on the canvas."
She added that she doesn't want to be an "icon in just one form," but in many forms.
