"The Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence will be appearing on her first Vogue US cover this September. The magazine's 902 page issue weighs more than 4 pounds!
Having Covered Vogue UK last November, Jennifer Lawrence will finally be appearing on her first-ever cover of American Vogue.
This is great publicity for the Academy Award winning actress as this particular month's magazine issues are the "Olympics in magazine publishing," according to Fashionista.
"Each glossy competes to be the biggest and the best. Booking the right cover star is, obviously, a big part of the battle. Likewise, for celebrities, nabbing the cover of a September issue is a coup of sorts."
It is rumored that Lawrence's Vogue cover will actually be promoting her latest film, "Serena," a period film, co-starring Bradley Cooper, which opens September 27th.
According to the Inquisitr, this week, the site Starworks released an image of the magazine's cover on Instagram, showing Jennifer in a cropped haircut in a picture shot from the shoulders up.

The actress has had much success this year and even more to come with her highly anticipated sequel film "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" set to hit theaters November 22nd.
In San Diego at Comic-Con Lawrence explained how her character, Katniss Everdeen has experienced major growth compared to the first film.
During a Q&A session at Comic-Con the actress talked about how her character's "life is very different now, she's struggling from post-traumatic stress from the games. She has a new life; she never has to worry about food. It makes her feel useless in an odd way."
And even although she is an award winning Hollywood actress she is still human, and has embarrassing moments just like everyone else does.
She revealed, that while shooting the latest installment in "The Hunger Games Franchise" she accidentally gave her co-star Josh Hutcherson (who plays Peeta Mellark) a snotty kiss.
She said, "Oh my god, we should've brought that clip with the snot... Just because the snot scene (probably) won't make the final cut doesn't mean you won't get a chance to see the disgusting glory for yourself. I'll put it on YouTube or something.
"You gotta see it. There's all this snot coming out of my nose, and when I go to kiss Josh, it connects with his mouth."
Jennifer Lawrence's September issue of Vogue hits newsstands later this month.
