While Lindsay Lohan missed the premiere of her recent film "The Canyons," on Tuesday night, the films cast and crew explained why she couldnt make it.

"She's decided not to be here because she's worried coming out of rehab [and] hanging out in L.A. for the weekend," the film's director Paul Schrader told the audience in a speech before the movie was shown, according to People.

Schrader then elaborated on Lohan's history with alcohol and drug addiction.

"She has been on this Adderall for about five years. It makes her speedy so she has to cut that with vodka. Now you're dealing with a speedball."

"People do want to hire her," Schrader added, but acknowledged that Lohan lives in a "crisis atmosphere," adding, "Everything's a crisis. And when it isn't a crisis, she finds a way to make it one."

Schrader also sounded hopeful about Lohan's recovery, as did the film's producer, Braxton Pope, who had recently visited Lohan at the Betty Ford Center.

"A lot of it's up to her," Schrader said. "If she can create a reputation of reliability, and that's her number one problem, she will have a career because people do ... like her."

"We talk all the time and I think she's doing quite well," Pope told reporters. "She's very serious about her career and future work."

Nolan Funk, who plays opposide Lohan, 27, as her ex-boyfriend and lover in the film, enjoyed working with the actress.

"It was great," he said. "We ended up having great chemistry. It was a very positive working relationship."

"She seems really focused right now. I can't predict anything, but as of right now, I think she's doing amazing. I'm really happy for her," he added.

Thats not all though! According to RadarOnline, Lohan may have been dating someone while she was in rehab at the Cliffside Malibu treatment center.

"According to a former patient who was in rehab with Lindsay - the 27-year-old starlet and a male patient (we are keeping unidentified), the two began "dating" almost immediately upon her arrival at the Southern California rehab center," according to the website.

"Prior to Lindsay's arrival I was roommates with the guy who ended up dating her. When she came, the first or second day they ended up kissing and it was on from there," the insider told Radar in an interview.

"The guy was actually dating someone else in rehab at the time and Lindsay told him he needed to get rid of that other girl and be with her only. She was really territorial with him."

"Everybody in rehab knew they were dating. It was pretty obvious. But the guy eventually got kicked out because of Lindsay," the source told Radar.

The source also believes Lohan and the guy are still seeing each other and talking every day.
