"The Voice" coach Usher's 5-year old son was rushed to the hospital on Monday after a serious pool accident. The singer's son, Usher Raymond V, is currently in the Intensive Care Unit at an Atlanta, Georgia hospital after getting his arm got caught in the pool drain at the star's home at around 2pm.
According to TMZ, the child was playing in the water with Usher's sister, but when he spotted a toy in in the drain of the pool he went after it and got his arm caught.
Upon seeing her nephew struggling underwater, the boy's aunt immediately swam over to help him but was not successful and screamed for help.
The maid came rushing over and had no luck in helping the boy and yelled for help in which two men working on the house dove into the pool freeing the child. Usher Raymond V was then reportedly given CPR and rushed to hospital.
At the time Usher was not a home but the minute he was notified he rushed to the house and rode in the ambulance with his son to the hospital, and was later joined by the boy's mother, Tameka Raymond.
It is reported that the doctors have said that Usher's son will be okay and are running test on the boy.
This incident comes after the death of the singer's stepson following a Jet Ski crash. Usher's 11-year-old stepson Kile Glover died over a year and two weeks after he was critically injured in a boating accident.
Glover died from the injuries he obtained after being run over on July 6, 2012 by a personal watercraft on Lake Lanier.
