Following his death, Cory Monteith's mother Ann McGregor thanked her son's fans for their support following the death of the "Glee" star.

On Thursday, the star's mother took to Twitter to express her thanks to fans who sent warm thoughts her way while she was dealing with the tragic death of her son.

The "Glee" star was found dead at 31-years old in his Vancouver hotel room after he missed his checkout time on July 13th. The autopsy report determined that the star died from a lethal mixture of heroin and alcohol.

Ann McGregor, wrote "I would like to thank all of Cory's supporters at this extremely emotional time. Your support has been overwhelming...thank you."

Monteith's mother also addressed recent rumors about her plans to spread the actor's ashes

She wrote on her Twitter account, "The person releasing articles relating to my feelings and thoughts on how to take care of Cory's ashes has never been in contact with me,"

McGregor continued. "I have never met or spoken to this person He does not represent me or my wishes."

It was also alleged that "Glee" will likely end after season 6. According to Entertainment Weekly, FOX's Entertainment Chairman Kevin Reilly said, "I would not anticipate it goes beyond two more seasons."

However, he went on to say, "Never say never, but there's two very clear [story] arcs to get to that end and conclude. If we discover a new crop of kids and there's some breakout we like ... [but] right now, we're thinking two seasons."

Also on Thursday just before a repeat episode of "Glee" was aired FOX showed a 12-second memorial card of Monteith who rose to fame as playing the lovable football star who found his voice in Glee Club, Finn Hudson.

The short clip is dialogue-free clip but showcases Finn's sweetest successes on Glee and ends with the show's trademark white text on a black screen, "Cory Monteith Forever in our hearts," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
