Johnny Depp's girlfriend Amber Heard has finally opened up about dating. Although the actress didn't mention Depp's ex Vanessa Paradis, she did shed some light on what it's like to live in the public eye and be scrutinized by others.

In the September 2013 issue of Flare magazine, cover girl, Heard revealed some details about her life when it came to dating Johnny Deep, she said, "It's not part of my professional life. I want to be an artist. I don't want to be a celebrity."

"You can find pictures of me [on the Internet] pumping gas, picking up dry cleaning, walking my dog, but nowhere are you going to find pictures of me hanging around at some nightclub...Can you ever imagine yourself in a situation like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie or Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, where the world feels like they have a stake in your private life? I would never want it."

She went on to say, "I guess I could not hold hands with who I want to, but what kind of life would that be? I don't want to change just because people are watching."

Typically very private with their private lives both Depp and Heard rarely discus their relationship and when addressing it they never directly name each other.

However, it is not as if the world doesn't know that the two are dating, Depp, 50, and Heard, 27, have kept their relationship very low-key but have been spotted several times holding hands.

Most recently the two were seen holding hands after Depp's premiere while promoting his latest movie, "The Lone Ranger." The actors first met on the set of their film "The Rum Diary" in 2009 with their relationship being confirmed later in June 2011 after Depp split from girlfriend of 14-years, Vanessa Paradis.

A source told Us Weekly, "They are 100 percent dating," when referring to the relationship status of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard.

"He treats her very well," added a friend of the actress, "They started sleeping together during the press tour."

Heard was previously in a relationship with Tasya van Ree, whom she dated for four years

Now happy with Heard, Depp recently addressed his split with Paradis saying, "The last couple years have been a bit bumpy."

"At times, certainly unpleasant, but that's the nature of breakups, I guess, especially when there are kiddies involved," the two share two children Lily-Rose, 14, and Jack, 11.
