It seems like Johnny Depp may be quitting acting in the near future and settle down with girlfriend, Amber Heard.

With his recent announcement that he is considering retirement the actor is fueling rumors that he may finally be getting married to the 27-year old actress.

The 50-year old mega star has been romantically linked to Heard since his split from girlfriend of 14 years Vannessa Paradis. The two share two children together, Lily-Rose and Jack.

While chatting with the BBC "The Lone Ranger" star confessed that retirement is definitely a possibility. According to International Design Times, he said "I wouldn't say that I'm dropping out any second but I would say it's probably not too far away."

The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star said that taking on a false persona becomes exhausting and that he is reaching the point where he would like to live out his own life in the near future rather than continue to pretend to be someone else.

"At a certain point, you start thinking, and when you add up the amount of dialogue that you say per year, for example, and you realize that you've said written words more than you've actually had a chance to say your own words, you start thinking of that as a kind of insane option for a human being."

Depp confessed, "I can't say that I'd want to be doing this for another 10 years."

"I think while I've got the opportunity and the desire and the creative spark to do the things that I can do right now, I should do them."

"And then, at a certain point, just take it down to the bare minimum and concentrate on, I guess, living life. Really living life."

"And going somewhere where you don't have to be on the run, or sneak in through the kitchen or the underground labyrinth of the hotel," admitted the actor who along with Heard is extremely private when it comes to their personal life.

Following the break up with Paradis, Depp was swarmed by the paparazzi and was further ambushed when he began dating his "Rum Diary" co-star Amber Heard.

Rumors are swirling that the actor is considering retirement so he can start a family with Heard but the mother of his children has some reservations about his new fling. A source revealed, "Vanessa thinks he's smitten because Amber's exotic and says he'll grow tired of her."

"But Vanessa doesn't think it's going to last, and that's why she's against Johnny marrying Amber. She thinks their kids will be crushed when the relationship goes south."
