On Monday, the royal baby boy's birth drew millions of tears, congratulations and well wishes from several people around the world including America's first family.
President Obama, Michelle, and daughters Sasha and Malia had warm words for Kate Middleton and Prince William on their new bundle of joy, who arrived at 8 pounds, 6 ounces at 4:24 p.m. at St. Mary's Hospital in London on Monday, according to E! Online.
The first couple released a statement to the Prince of Cambridge's mom and dad, "Michelle and I are so pleased to congratulate the Duke and Dutchess of Cambridge on the joyous occasion of the birth of thier first child."
"We wish them all the happiness and blessings parenthood brings," the statement continued. "The child enters the world at a time of promise and opportunity for our two nations. Given the special relationship between us, the American people are pleased to join with the people of the United Kingdom as they celebrate the birth of the young prince."
E! reported that Prince Charles was beyond elated about his new grandson and heir to the throne, "Both my wife and I are overjoyed at the arrival of our first grandchild."
"It is an incredibly special moment for William and Catherine," they continued, "and we are so thrilled for them on the birth of their baby boy."
Ellen DeGeneres tweeted, "It's a boy! So happy for my cousin Kate and the future King of England!"
Josh Groban took to Twitter to write, "I know it's a boy, I'm watching it on the dang web cam. It's gurling."
And Kelly Ripa of "Live with Kelly and Michael" tweeted, "It's a boy! Perhaps Anderson? Or Cooper? @andersoncooper @DevnaShukla."
But Hollywood Life reported that not everyone was happy about the heir's arrival, "I don't care about the royal baby, such a bunch of overexaggerated crap," said race car driver, @HughesJackk on Twitter.
Soccer player Vals Berlin tweeted, "As much as I'm interested in the ''royal baby' (he-he), Id like 2 get bck 2 some real news."
"U know, stuffs tht may affect me in some kind of way," Berlin continued.
