Taylor Lautner and his rumored real-life love, co-star Marie Avgeropoulous got back to work on their forthcoming film, "Tracers" in New York City on Sunday, according to JustJared Jr.

Though the 21-year-old actor held his own on set, however, what happened after the cameras stopped rolling caught much attention. Lautner came to his 27-year-old co-star's rescue, accompanying her to an awaiting car while she walked on crutches, the celebrity news site reported.

Lautner has also played a hero on an earlier occasion, "After the [Blue Man Group] show, [Lautner and Avgeropoulos] popped downstairs to meet the cast," a source told the New York Post about the pair seeing the show at the Astor Place Theatre in NYC on July 15.

"But Marie's, who's on crutches due to a leg injury, had a tough time getting back up to leave," the source continued. "[Lautner] carried her up piggyback."

Avgeropoulous had bravely tried to climb the stairs, but Lautner could not let his damsel be in distress. He simply crouched down and told her to hop on his back, the Post reported.

The pair seemed to be in great spirits and signed autographs for fans upon exiting the venue, the newspaper reported.

The two also laughed and chatted in between takes on set, according to the Daily Mail. In the film, Lautner plays a bike messenger wanted by the mafia.
