On Wednesday, MTV announced this year's Video Music Awards nominees, with Justin Timberlake and Paramore leading the pack with six nods each.
Bruno Mars is up for four moon men; Miley Cyrus, Pink, Robin Thicke and 30 Seconds to Mars are set to battle it out for three awards.
The coveted "Video of the Year" pits Timberlake's "Mirrors" against Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat Wanz's "Thrift Shop," Bruno Mars' "Locked Out of Heaven," Robin Thicke featuring Pharrell and T.I.'s "Blurred Lines" and Taylor Swift's "I Knew Your Were Trouble."
In the individual category, Timberlake, Thicke, Mars, Ed Sheeran and Kendrick Lamar will duke it out for "Best Male Video." Meanwhile, Rihanna, Swift, Cyrus, Pink and Demi Lovato will be anticipating who will take home the win.
"Artist to Watch" is a category growing in popularity with Twenty One Pilots' "Holding On To You," Zedd featuring Foxes' "Clarity," Austin Mahone's "What About Love," The Weeknd's "Wicked Games" and Iggy Azalea "Work" nominated for the award.
Chris Brown's "Fine China," Ciara's "Body Party," Jennifer Lopez's "Live It Up," will.i.am's "#thatPOWER" and Mars' "Treasures" are on deck for "Best Choreography."
