Alicia Silverstone is set to star in new television show directed by "Sex and the City" creator Darren Star. The new series will be called "HR" and revolve around the actress' character.

The show will air on the Lifetime Network and follow Ellen Bell (Silverstone), who is an uptight director of human resources for a global company.

The character ditches standard procedures and inspires the business to strive for new ambitions and profits, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Ellen's new managerial practices and untraditional female point-of-view in a predominately male company is a welcome relief to some.

However, others see it as a threat to their power and position within the corporation testing work relationships both inside and out of this traditional office.

This will be the "Clueless" star's fourth attempt to have a successful television show. Her previous shows such as "Miss Match" which aired back in 2003 got canceled after only 11 episodes.

Not to mention that her two other TV pilots "Queen B" and "Pink Collar" did not even get picked up for syndication.

"HR" which is written by Glenn Porter who typically gets recognition for "I Melt With You" will join Star and Aaron Kaplan's Kapital Entertainment who will be executively producing the show.

Porter will also be a co-executive producer alongside Michael Lohmann, according to THR.

The new series will mark Star's latest small-screen venture following his time as a producer on The CW's "90210." Star also worked on ABC's "GCB," "Melrose Place," "Cashmere Mafia," and of course the phenomenally successful "Sex and the City" series.
