Kanye West has a new partner in fashion, joining up with the hip, French brand, A.P.C.

The rapper, who just welcomed his newborn daughter, North West into the world, hinted to W Magazine that he had collaborated with a Parisian label, but would not release a name until now. A.P.C. revealed the fashion-forward menswear news on Twitter with a teaser image of jeans labeled with West's name.

According to Billboard, the Parisian powerhouse is known for "stitching together minimalist designs with an urban edge," which is a perfect statement for West's signature style. The "Yeezus" lyricist, who first introduced some "awkward" runway collections during Paris Fashion Week last March, is grateful for the modish move to partner with them.

The West and A.P.C. capsule collection will feature jeans, T-shirts and hoodies up for sale at 10 a.m. on Sunday, July 14 on Apc.fr.

The brand has been hush hush and selective about collaborations in the past, and this is their first one with a celebrity, according to Fashionista.  Their founder, Jean Touitou told GQ that he and West "wanted to do something related to clothes that was not high fashion." But surprisingly, Touitou had no idea who West was when the rapper came to his overseas studio for advice on how to break into the fashion industry.
