Following reports that 50 Cent attacked his ex-girlfriend, the rapper's lawyers are now alleging that he has not been arrested after the dispute.

The 37-year old who was born Curtis Jackson was accused of roughing up the mother of child and damaging her Los Angeles condo.

However, on July 5th his lawyer, Scott Leemon, released a statement to the press denying the charges against him, according to Rolling Stones.

"It is important to note, Mr. Jackson has not been arrested and there is no warrant outstanding for his arrest," said Leemon.

"We have been in contact with the L.A. City Attorney's Office and are currently conducting our own investigation into these allegations. Out of respect for the legal process, we will not be commenting any further at this time."

Reports alleged that the "We Up" rapper broke chandeliers and ransacked his ex's bedroom with damages being estimated to around $7,100.

According to the New York Daily News, prosecutors, will not identify the woman but said she dated Jackson for three years and had a child with him.

Prosecutors said that Jackson's new baby mama locked herself in a bedroom in her Toluca Lake residence to escape the angry rapper when he busted down the door and kicked her, causing injury.

Police who rushed to the scene saw smashed chandeliers, broken furniture, a ransacked bedroom closet, and woman's clothes thrown all over the floor. By the time authorities arrived the rapper was long gone.

"Regardless of perceived celebrity or notoriety, domestic violence is a serious crime, and alleged perpetrators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law by this office," said Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer in a statement.

The situation surrounding the rapper does not seem to be bothering him that much as he took to his Twitter account to post several tweets that poked fun at the situation, saying "I'm not in jail," with each post saying something different.

For example, one post said, "I'm not in jail I'm in the living room. #smsaudio."

While another one said, "I'm not in jail I'm in my strip club. #smsaudio."

He even retweeted one fan who said "@50cent Your Ex is a stupid whore! Trying to get you locked up and all that s***!"

50 Cent's arraignment is scheduled for July 22nd at Van Nuys Superior Court in California. If convicted the star could face up to $46,000 in fines and five years jail time.
