Ashlee Simpson has been spending a lot of time with a new rumored beau, Evan Ross.

Cameras caught the blond singer and actress, 28, looking cozy with Diana Ross' actor son, 24, in West Hollywood on Monday, according to E! Online. Shutterbugs found the twosome hanging out two times on the day after Jessica Simpson had her second child, son Ace Knute, with fiancee, Eric Johnson.

Later that night, the twosome left Teddy's Nightclub at the Roosevelt Hotel in Tinseltown after a night out on the town, according to US Weekly. They walked very closely together into the club around 1:30 a.m., with Simpson looking chic cute in a floral maxi dress with her blonde hair hanging down. Ross wore a black sweater over a loose white shirt and dark pants.

The pair also got some R & R in Cabo together less than two weeks ago, reported E!. It looks like a definite romance or friendship is brewing between the two stars, who had outings two days in a row.

Reportedly, they left Ross' home on Tuesday morning before grabbing a bite to eat, looking relaxed and comfortable. While wearing a white tee with a floral kimono, dark pants, a floppy sunhat and dark oversized shades, Simpson strolled down the street with a cigarette-smoking Ross, who also kept it casual in a blue tee and jeans, mustard green scarf and sunglasses.

But, according to US, the duo are just friends. "Evan and Ashlee have been friends for a really long time, probably ten years," said a source. "They know each other from the club scene and have a ton of mutual friends."

Jessica Simpson's little sister is mom to 4-year-old Bronx, with ex-husband, Pete Wentz, who she divorced in December 2011. The actress had reportedly rebounded with "Boardwalk Empire" star, Vincent Piazza although they seemingly ended things in November.
