The ground-breaking decision by the Supreme court to overturn the Defense of Marriage Act and find it "unconstitutional" inspired happy reactions across the world, especially among celebrities.

Kristen Bell was so moved that she proposed to her baby father and beau, Dax Shepard on Twitter on Wednesday. According to the Huffington Post, the landmark ruling meant that the petite actress could now marry her funnyman actor.

The couple, who welcomed a baby girl in March, had put off their nuptials and vowed not to get hitched until marriage equality existed in the U.S.

"The reason we're not rushing to get married is because I don't feel appropriate of taking advantage of a right that's denied to my [gay and lesbian] friends," she said to The Advocate in 2012. "That's why we've been so hesitant. Dax and I have talked about it a lot, and this issue is very important to both of us. We're just standing up for what we believe in. Period."

With standing strong, it was only right and an expression of love that Shepard accept the grand proposal, which he did on Twitter.

But they are not the only ones who celebrated the freedom of marriage for all people on the social media site. Anna Wintour, Vogue's Editor-in-Cheif, tweeted for the first time from Vogue's Twitter page on Wednesday, according to Fashionista.

There were also many more Twitter reactions from Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page, Adam Lambert, Alicia Keys, Ellen DeGeneres, Lady Gaga, Ben Affleck and more, according to Access Hollywood.

Dicaprio posted, "Historic Day. Well done #SCOTUS. RT @GLAAD: Supreme Court affirms that #DOMA is unconstitutional!"

DeGeneres wrote,"It's a supremely wonderful day for equality. Prop 8 is over, and so is DOMA. Congratulations everyone. And I mean everyone."
