It is wedded bliss for George Lucas and his longtime love, Mellody Hobson.
The "Star Wars" creator, 69, married the businesswoman, 44, in an intimate ceremony at the Skywalker Ranch in Marin County, Calif. on Saturday at 5 p.m., confirmed US Weekly. For some more "star power," the twosome tied the knot in front of Oprah Winfrey, Robert DeNiro, Glenn Close, Harrison Ford, Calista Flockhart, Quincy Jones and Rashida Jones.
"Mellody's flowers were blue roses," a source told US. "That was her something blue."
Former New Jersey Senator Bill Bradley walked the blushing bride, who is president of Ariel Investments and chairman of Dreamworks Animation, wearing a Peter Soronen gown down the aisle. Director Francis Ford Coppola read a poem by Maya Angelou and journalist Bill Moyers officiated the nuptials.
"It only takes one person to have met the love of your life," the former Baptist minister said with such emotion to the bride and groom, who announced their engagement in January after a seven-year courtship.
According to the Huffington Post, Lucas' son, Jett was the best man and his daughers, Katie and Amanda were bridesmaids.
Janelle Monae and Van Morrison enterained the approximately 200 guests. One of Lucas' longtime friends, legendary filmmaker and producer Steven Spielberg gave a well-versed, yet funny toast.
Spielberg joked that "the Force finally had a name: Mellody," the source said.
This is the first marriage for Hobson and the second for Lucas, who was previously wed to film editor Marcia Griffin from 1969 to 1983.
