Although reports have said that the Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder break has turned ugly it seems like behind closed doors the former couple is quite civil with one another.

If fans paid closed attention they would have figured out that "The Vampire Diaries" co-stars are currently sharing custody of their cat.

Somerhalder and Dobrev have yet to make any statements addressing the current status of their relationship or the lack there of, but their Twitter accounts have done a lot of speaking for them.

Following the split which took place in early May, the two have not been seen together however according to the International Business Times their Twitter and Instagram accounts have been revealing what is going on.

Before ending their relationship the former couple had a "kid" together, an orange cat named Moke. Since the split both stars have posted photos of the animal on their individual social media accounts

Nina Dobrev posted pictures of the cat via Twitter and revealed that the animal was in her possession however, not long after, Somerhalder posted a photo of Moke and tweeted, "In honor of #PetsAtWork day, look who is in the recycling basket in my office ..."

IBT concludes that since a cat cannot be in two places at once, it appears that the former couple is sharing custody of their pet. Now seeing as that they did not put the cat in the mail it is assumed that neither has officially moved out of their shared residence.

Celeb Dirty Laundry is reporting that there is a possibility of reconciliation when the two return to Atlanta and begin shooting season five of "The Vampire Diaries." The tabloid assumes that their constant interaction will be the reason behind them getting back together.
