Katy Perry and John Mayer were spotted attending the Friars Foundation Awards at The Waldorf Astoria on Monday evening. The duo arrived separately but later joined one another once inside of the event.

When the couple initially split the "Wide Awake" singer revealed that she still have feelings for Mayer, according to the ABC News she said, "I was madly in love with him. I still am madly in love with him."

"Beautiful mind, tortured soul. I do have to figure out why I am attracted to these broken birds."

At the event Perry looked quite glamorous in her peach satin gown while Mayer looked quite sophisticated in his gray suit.

A source spoke to ABC News about the pairs interaction once inside the event, "Katy arrived after the event had already started, but before dinner was served."

"A waiter brought a chair to John's table for her just before her arrival."

The two then cozied up to one another and were "affectionate" and "very lovey-dovey," the source added.

"They were smooching and rubbing one another's backs," the insider revealed.

"And Katy had her arm around John at one point."

There have been rumors surrounding Katy Perry and John Mayer these last few months alleging that music stars were back together however sources close to the couple revealed that they were just hanging out and "not putting a label on it," according to the Daily Mail.
