Candice Accola is head over heels in love with her fiancee, Joseph King and enjoying every minute of their engagement.

It's been a month since her man popped the question, but "The Vampire Diaries" starlet, 26, is not in any rush to walk down the aisle, according to People

"I cant even think about [the wedding] yet," she said to the magazine at Midori's Happy Hour Style Event at The London in New York City on Thursday. "We're just enjoying the engagement with our family and friends right now."

The bride-to-be, who is the new ambassador for the melon liqueur brand replacing Kim Kardashian, met King, guitarist for the band, The Fray, at a Superbowl event two years ago. But she was afraid to approach him.

But one of her co-stars gave her some help.

"I was too chicken to give him my number so Nina [Dobrev] did," she said laughing.

They got engaged last month while vacationing in Florence, Italy. It was a great surprise, and she was so happy that the star shared the news and engagement ring picture on Instagram.

King's blinged-out choice was just right for her.

"I never wear jewelry very often," she said. "He knows I wear a lot of vintage and he definitely consulted with some of my girls."

As the world waits for news on the upcoming nupitals, Accola cannot promise that she would completely escape the Bridezilla habit in planning her wedding.

"I stress out over just planning a dinner party, so it's been kind of a running joke with my friends," she added. "But I think I always hoped more for the kind of man I would be with rather than the kind of wedding I would have."

She summed her feeling up in one sentence: "I'm just so excited and grateful."

And to really make it official, the actress tweeted this cute comment on Friday.
