Caught in a blissful whirlwind of baby and engagement news, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Brian Hallisay are getting many congratulations from family and friends, including Colin Egglesfield.

According to US Weekly, the couple's "The Client List" co-star was surprised by the double announcement, but on cloud nine over it. Egglesfield, 40, even raved about his on-screen brother and sister-in-law, both 34.

"It's surprising, but not completely unexpected," he said of the parents-to-be's happy news during the 12th annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in Los Angeles on Saturday. "I just know they are going to make great parents. That kid is going to be incredibly spoiled."

Hewitt, who is three months along, is someone that Egglesfield likes very much as a person.

"More than anything, I'm happy for Jennifer and I'm glad," he added. "I know she's probably wanted this for a while. It's great to see she's finally going to be a mom and be able to do all the mom things that I know she's been wanting to do."

But how will the pregnancy and engagement affect their Lifetime show?

The Sunday night feature has yet to be renewed for a third season, but Egglesfield predicts that it will be back next Spring despite Hewitt's baby news. Perhaps they may work her pregnancy into the storyline, which excites him.

"It would be cool to see questions about who the daddy would be," Egglesfield said. "I'm sure they are meeting about it next week to figure out what we are going to do."
