In her usual internet surfacing Vanessa Hudgens once again took to her Tumblr account for her annual Mani Monday post. This time around the "Spring Breakers" star posted a watercolor spotted nail tutorial of the summer themed manicure.
What is great about spotted nails is that the technique is simple and can be completed by using products around the house.
The person, who made the tutorial, Chelsea, notes that this look is very versatile, and can easily switch out the colors to make the design your own creation.
To have the watercolor affect you are going to start off painting all of your nails white. Make sure you set aside a paint brush and a bottle cap full of nail polish remover.
Once you paint your nails white add a few drops of your favorite polish to your nails. Then take the paint brush and dip it in the bottle cap of nail polish remover and pat over each of the dots.
You want to make sure you spread the color around your nail because this will create the water color affect.
Once you complete that step take you next choice nail polish and do the exact same thing. In total you should have four nail polish colors that you want to layer on your nails and be sure to repeat the same process.
In order to create the spotted look you are going to need a bowl of water, black polish, q-tips, Vaseline, and toothpicks.
Interestingly enough the Vaseline is used for the easy removal of nail polish during the messy process.
Before completing your spotting technique rub Vaseline around the skin of the nail, once the polish dries you can simply wipe the polish off without using nail polish remover.
Now that you have your materials ready check out the tutorial below and lets us know what you think.
