Adam Levine and Katy Perry's recent run-in with each other at a Los Angeles recording studio on Wednesday could indicate a match made in musical heaven or a secret dating session.

According to E! Online, a camera caught 28-year-old Perry heading inside in a grey sweatshirt, bandana and black Ray Ban shades while Levine, 33, exited in a white tee and dark-washed jeans. But it's unclear just what the connection between the two could be right now.

We do know that the "California Gurls" singer, who hung with Australian pop star Sia and DJ Diplo at the session, is working on a new album scheduled for a summer release.

But a collaboration in the future between her and the Maroon 5 frontman is already a hot topic to speculate about at the moment.

As far as a romance between Perry and Levine, we just don't know. There have been rumors flying that the "Fireworks" chanteuse has rekindled her romance with John Mayer and ex-husband, Russell Brand, who recently talked about their 14-month marriage, according to Life & Style.

"I tried it and I loved it," he told Esquire UK for their June issue. "I really think she's a lovely beautiful person. It's just hard isn't it? She's got a lot of options, I've got a lot of options, so you've got to really, really want it."

And Levine is rumored to be on the rebound after his break up with Victoria Secret angel, Behati Prinsloo with Nina Adgal after the supermodel visited The Voice set recently.
