Every Monday actress/singer Vanessa Hudgens takes time out of her day to do her annual Mani Monday posts on her Tumblr account. This past Monday she posted a picture of jeweled encrusted nails.
More and more celebrities are getting these overboard nails, but we must admit it is becoming a trend so what better way to embrace it then finding a tutorial and recreating the look for ourselves at home.
One thing we love about this jeweled nail art is that you can create so many different looks, from super-glamorous (Like the picture Vanessa Hudgens posted) or girly or rocker nails with a hint of edge and glam, it all depends on the size, color, and shape of stones that you choose.
Before you start your tutorial you have to have your jewels! For example most people suggest that you should run over to Sephora to get a pack of nail jewels however we think that picking up jewels from a fabric store would be better.
Not only would you save money but you would get more for your buck. The packs of jewels you would get from a fabric store usual come in a bundle and in an assortment of sizes.
Before you begin, make sure that the jewels that you plan on using for your manicure are set out, right-side up, and on a flat surface. This will make them easier to pick up later.
We found the tutorial below that features a manicure that features one big pearl with little jewels surrounding it.
Now this is more for an elegant look, however if you are looking for an edgy look just take the advice from the video and instead of using one big jewel mix it up with the various stones in your pack.
Check out the tutorial below and let us know what you think. Leave us a comment below.
