Bollywood is griefing the loss of one of their own starlets, Jiah Khan, who died from a reported suicide in Mumbai, India on Monday night.

As reported by the Huffington Post, the Times of India and rampant TV reports stated that the 25-year-old promising young talent's mother found Khan dead after having hung herself in her Juhu apartment. No suicide note was found.

Sources close to the actress suggest that she had been depressed for a while due to lingering personal issues, but had her heart set on returning back to acting.

Born as Nafisa Khan, the American-born, London-raised brunette beauty got her daring start in 2007's "Nishabd," starring opposite the iconic Amitabh Bachchan. She was praised for her feature roles in 2008's "Ghanjani" with Aamir Khan and 2010's "Housefull" with Akshay Kumar.

She lived her life through rose-colored glasses as an actor, poet, singer, musician and dreamer, stated in her Twitter biography.

Mumbai police do not believe the case is suspicious, but are questioning Suraj Pancholi, son of actor couple Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, according to US Weekly.

And several Bollywood stars expressed their sadness and condolences.

"Just cant believe that someone as young and so full of life is just dead," said filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who directed Khan in "Nishabd." "Never ever seen a debutant actress with more spunk and more spirit than Jiah when I was directing her in Nishabd."

He added that though he does not know why Khan took her life, she was "very depressed by her career and scared for her future."
