When it comes to role models, Channing Tatum wants what a lot of people want, and that is to be like Jennifer Lawrence.

Yes, the "Magic Mike" actor, 33, is looking to channel his inner Lawrence, watching her for some inspiration, according to Access Hollywood

"I wouldn't mind being the male Jennifer Lawrence," the hunky star said to Cosmopolitan, where he was featured as July's "Cosmo Guy." "I think she's incredibly cool."

The father-to-be and husband of Jenna Dewan-Tatum also spilled lots of beans on his eight-year, still-going-strong marriage in the magazine. But how do the couple make it work?

"Jenna's and my thing is checking in with each other all the time, like, on a scale from 1 to 10, how much do you love me right now?" he said. "And you've got to be honest, you've got to want an honest answer."

He also confessed to being a "fat kid on the inside" and loving pizza, cheeseburgers and beer. We would never know this given his six-pack abs and fabulously in-shape bod.

The actor also gives his friends a lot of credit for keeping him down to earth when people talk to him about his "Sexiest Man Alive" status.

Channing's summer flick, "White House Down" with Jamie Foxx opens on June 28.
