Following the break up between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, rumors have been swirling around as to what exactly caused the split. And according to a friend of Katy Perry, it was the singer's fault.

According to the International Business Times, a friend of the singer, actress Bella Rapone, said that Robert Pattinson and Katy Perry have always liked one another.

Rapone revealed that the break up between the "Twilight" co-stars was due to an argument over Perry and Pattison's canoodling.

Rapone spoke about the time the two spent together while in New York City just two weeks before the actor's split from his girlfriend, she said, "She and Rob started off in the Bowery Ballroom, where they watched a gig by the indie band Daughter with a whole bunch of people, mainly pals of hers."

"Then they took off with a smaller group for a much more intimate venue, The Spot at the Trump SoHo Hotel, where it was ­obvious there was ­chemistry between them. They've always liked each other."

Rapone claimed that the "Water for Elephants" star was "outraged by the way Perry's ex-husband, Russell Brand, cheated on her."

Perry also empathized with Pattinson, seeing as Stewart publicly cheated on him with her married "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders.

"Both Rob and Katy have been so unlucky in love and now it's almost as if they are kindred spirits. Katy says she finds him adorable and he is clearly very attracted to her."

Rapone said, "They were the last to leave the Spot Lounge and, while there were no public ­displays of affection, it was very clear they were extremely happy in each other's company."

When Pattinson returned back to Los Angeles, he and his then girlfriend allegedly got into a huge argument over his "date" with Perry.

"She kept asking him how he could think of betraying her in public after all they had been through. Rob said something like that was rich coming from her. The argument descended into a yelling match. At the end, Rob said he'd had enough, packed his bags and walked out on her for a second time."

Despite constant rumors Hollywoodlife.com spotted Kristen Stewart out Memorial Day weekend enjoying some lunch with a friend. This is a different side of the actress we are seeing compared to last week when she was photographed flipping both her middle fingers at the paparazzi.

Although she is said to be the one taking the break up the hardest, the actress looks as if she is slowly but surely moving on from the Robert Pattinson chapter in her life.
