Following their break up both Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder have both been doing their best to keep busy. While Somerhalder is off jet setting across the world Dobrev has been spending time with friends and family.

Over the long Memorial Day weekend the newly single actress posted a dozen of pictures of herself having a good time with her friends and family on a sunny beach.

"The Vampire Diaries" star also showed off her awesome bikini clad body in the pictures, maybe to show her ex-boyfriend what he is missing out on?

Dobrev post photos of her posing in multiple bikinis with friends giving the duck face pout and even posted a picture of herself with a dog she met on the street with the caption, "A little late night lovin' #imsmitten #inlove #ilikethemfurry."

Meanwhile her ex-boyfriend was in Moscow, appearing on old talk shows and even met up with an old acting coach of his.

On Instagram the actor posted 2 pictures of himself with his acting coach Ivana Chubbuck. The actor looked happy to be reunited with a familiar face.

According to Entertainment Wise a source said that there was no mean spiritedness behind Dobrev and Somerhalder's break up.

"The relationship kind of brewed out of a friendship and the fact that they had to get into a romance for the show."

The source revealed that the breakup "was inevitable."

The couple will continue to work together on "The Vampire Diaries," with sources saying that they will remain amicable and professional for the sake of the show.
