When Mariah Carey appeared on "Good Morning America," a wardrobe malfunction was probably the farthest thing from her mind. However as soon as she stepped on the stage she told anchor Lara Spencer that she was having wardrobe problems.

Carey who was there to perform for the show's summer concert series walked on stage and while talking to Spencer her Donatella Versace dress split open on live television.

The New York Daily News reported that singer said, "Oh shoot, the back of my dress just popped!"

Carey turned her back to the audience to show them her wardrobe malfunction and said, "I love you Donatella, but it popped darling."

"What should we call this? The Central Park saga?"

"Ok, I'll just hold them up the whole time," she said referring to the area that was holding her chest into place coming loose.

Carey's team soon rushed over to the star and began to try to fix the problem as Spencer held her note cards in front of the singer in an attempt to shield her from exposing her breasts.

The anchor soon cut to commercial to give the singer some time to compose herself in what Spencer referred to as "a tv moment."

Spencer said, "What we'll do is go to break, adjust, and when we come back we'll talk to Mariah Carey about how gorgeous she looks."

After break Carey returned to the stage in a new but equally stunning hot pink gown that fit more loosely and did not suffer more zipper problems, according to ABC News.

After all the mishaps Carey was able to do her first-ever live performance of her new single, "#Beautiful" featuring singer, Miguel.
