Leighton Meester was spotted attending the Gay Pride Parade in Long Beach, Los Angeles on Sunday. The actress was there shooting a scene for her movie with boyfriend Adam Brody, "Life Partners." This film is far from the roots the actress is most noted for.

Meester rose to fame playing the scheming and manipulative Blair Waldorf on the CW hit series "Gossip Girl." However, in her new film the actress plays a lesbian named Sasha whose best friend, Paige (played by Gillian Jacobs) vows not to marry her boyfriend, Tim (played by Meester's real life boyfriend Adam Brody) until gay marriage becomes legal.

According to the Daily Mail, the actress was spotted filming the movie minus Brody who was not in attendance. Meester was all smiles while at the parade wearing a bright yellow beanie that covered most of her short wavy locks and dark rounded sunglasses.

For her apparel Meester wore a bright orange bandeau which was visible even with her white tank top over it. Her wardrobe also consisted of cuffed destroyed blue denim shorts along with a green army jacket wrapped around her hips. Of course her outfit was not complete without her rainbow suspenders and tights paired with worn black combat boots.

While on set the star was seen blowing bubbles , dancing and giggling. The actress even did a handstand and with the help of her co-star had some fun making herself a human wheel barrel on the grass.

While filming the scenes at the parade the former "Gossip Girl" star held a sign that read, "GOD HATES SIGNS," according to the Daily Mail.

Meester recently signed up to star alongside the famous Robert Downey Jr. and Vera Farmiga in the movie, "The Judge."

The film "Life Partners" is set to be released in 2014.
