Former "Jersey Shore" reality star Pauly D, also known as Paul DelVecchio, debuted his new hair by posting a picture on his Instagram account. DelVecchio is known for his famous blow-out hairstyle when he was on the popular MTV reality series, so this look is very different from his fist pumping days on the shore.

According to The Inquisitr, DelVecchio's new slicked back hair was inspired by Leonardo DiCaprio's character from the Baz Luhrmann film "The Great Gatsby." The reality star's caption for the picture read, "#TheGreatDJGatsby !!!"

Other than his famous hair the reality star has made quite a name for himself, and has been booking DJ gigs and making appearances all over the country.

When stars make big decisions that include changes to their appearances, fans always have their own opinion about the new look.

One fan tweeted, "Pauly D cut his hair, Kim Kardashian is fat and pregnant, Beckham retired, first gay NBA player, Holyyy 2013 is too much to take in #lol."

While another fan admired the look and tweeted, "Pauly D's lookin' fine with his hair slicked back.... dang."

However some fans were disappointed and did not want to see the blow out gone, "ew! Pauly D cut his hair ! lol," tweeted one fan.

DelVecchio's previous hairstyle, the blow out, would take the star about 25 minutes to do every morning because he wanted to achieve the definition of perfection, according to Us Weekly.

"A lot of people try to do the same hair style, but they can't really do it right, he told The New York Daily News in a December 2009 interview. "Mine definitely stands out.

We must admit that the star looks quite dapper with his slicked back hair, combined with his suit and tie. We hope the look stays.
